Find your way around the console
The per-module menu, global search, real-time notifications, language and theme.
The menu
The left-hand menu is organised by module. Each active module has its own coloured heading that folds away with a click; the badges at the bottom of the menu do the same.
Below the modules come the shared entries:
| Entry | Contents | Help |
|---|---|---|
| FSI Agents | Installed agents, their modules, their updates | Manage agents |
| Alerts | Alerts and their rules | Alerts |
| Reports | PDF reports, on demand or scheduled | Reports |
| Settings | Your profile, your security, appearance; for administrators, every customer setting | Customer settings |
| GDPR, Audit Log | Data retention and a record of actions (administrators) | Data, GDPR and audit |
The Connectors group gathers Connectors, Pre-diagnostics, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Directory and Public API. Several of these entries are for administrators only.
The small round button on the edge of the menu collapses it to icons, leaving more room for the screens.
Global search
The field at the top of the screen searches everywhere. Ctrl+K (Cmd+K on a Mac) puts the cursor there.
From 2 characters, it suggests up to 5 menu pages (try "tunnels", "sessions" or "tokens"), followed by results: computers, users, processes, destinations, monitors, SQL instances, software, Active Directory accounts, NetDiag workstations. Move with ↑ and ↓, Enter opens, Esc closes. If nothing matches, Enter searches the file events.
For a computer, type its name or IP address: search offers its NetDiag page, its machine page and its inventory.
Real-time notifications
New alerts appear at the top right, at most 5 at a time. The more serious they are, the longer they stay (15 s for a critical alert, 5 s for an informational one), and critical or high alerts come with a beep.
At the bottom left, an indicator shows Real-time active or Reconnecting…. If the connection drops, the console reconnects on its own.
The bell in the top bar shows how many items are waiting on the dashboard. The count is refreshed every minute and whenever a new alert comes in; its tooltip reads “{n} item(s) to handle (dashboard)” and clicking it opens the dashboard. In the menu, the red number next to Alerts counts the active alerts of the Alerts screen.
Language and theme
The console is available in French, English, Italian, German and Spanish. Pick the language with the selector at the top of the screen or in Settings → Appearance → Language.
The theme icon at the top switches between light and dark. Settings → Appearance also offers System, which follows the Windows or macOS setting.
Both choices are stored in your browser, not in your account: on another computer you get the defaults again.
How to read this help
At the top of each page, #/netdiag (for example) names the console screen concerned: add it to your console's address to go straight there. The role badge says who can carry out the actions described. Words in bold are button and field labels, as they appear on screen. Error messages sent by the server follow the console language too; the AssetMonitor CVE freshness banner is the main text still sent in French.
